Payment and refund terms

What you’re buying

Digital goods for use in Star Citizen: ship pledges, upgrades (CCUs), paints and game packs. No physical item is shipped.

Each product page shows exactly what you get: the item, its insurance and edition, whether it comes as an original pledge or built by upgrade (CCU’d), and whether you need a game package to play.

Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars. You pay at checkout from your PayPal account, in PayPal’s own window. Depending on where you live, PayPal may also offer to let you pay later or in instalments; those are PayPal’s products, under PayPal’s terms.

If your PayPal account uses another currency, PayPal shows you the converted amount before you pay.

PayPal takes the payment when you approve it and emails you a receipt. Your order number appears when you finish.

Delivery

We check every order by hand, build it on our own RSI accounts and gift it to the RSI account email you give us at checkout, within 24 hours of payment. To buy for a friend, give their RSI account email. We keep regular business hours, so an order placed while we’re closed is picked up as soon as we open.

RSI emails a link to claim the gift from no-reply@robertsspaceindustries.com. If it hasn’t arrived, check your spam folder. Sign in to the RSI account that should receive it before you accept. Please confirm receipt within 24 hours of claiming it, and contact us if the gift email doesn’t arrive or you can’t claim it.

Buying several upgrades for one chain? Wait until all of them have arrived before you apply any. Applying an upgrade can’t be undone.

We only ever need the email on your RSI account. We’ll never ask for your RSI password or login details.

If we can’t supply your order

Items marked “Needs stock check” are checked by hand after you order. If we can’t supply an item, we tell you straight away and offer an alternative. If you’d rather not take it, we refund you in full through PayPal. Nothing is gifted until your order is right.

Cancelling

Before your gift is claimed, contact us straight away to cancel. If we can still stop the transfer, we refund your order.

Refunds after your gift is claimed

Claimed digital items are final sale for change-of-mind purposes. Under RSI’s gifting rules, a claimed gift can’t be returned to the sender through the gift system.

Once the correct item has been claimed, we don’t offer refunds or exchanges because you changed your mind, bought the wrong item despite an accurate description, or found a lower price.

Changes CIG makes to a ship, its insurance or the game after delivery, and action RSI takes against an account for breaking RSI’s rules, aren’t grounds for a refund.

This doesn’t restrict your rights if an item isn’t delivered, is materially different from its description or was sent wrongly, or any other rights the law doesn’t allow us to exclude.

Our 90-day guarantee

Every purchase is guaranteed for 90 days. If RSI takes an item back because of something on our side, or it isn’t what we described, we replace it or refund you.

If something goes wrong

Talk to us first: email support@theconcretefoundry.com with your order number. It’s usually the fastest way to put things right.

You can still open a PayPal dispute at any time. PayPal’s buyer protection can apply to your payment, and PayPal decides every claim under its own terms. Read PayPal’s buyer protection terms.

We keep a record of every gift we send and when it’s claimed, and we share it with PayPal if a dispute is opened.
